Logo design is an important part of the entrepreneurial venture. Logo indicates our business. While light blue colored logos are preferred by technology companies, younger start-ups prefer to be a little more experimental. A logo should be simple in design and should use minimum colors. Here are some of the tips for your logo design.
- Send your message through your logo
- Keep the design simple
- Use as fewer colors as possible
Logo is what people will look first in your site. It will also make you stand out from the competitor. The logo stands for how your customers view your company. For e.g. a sturdy steel finish normally indicates an industrial organization, blue indicates authority while orange or green logo indicates a fun loving organization. If you are a kids wear company, you would like to use a lot of reds and yellows to attract kids, while if you are professional services, dark blue or grey could be your primary color.
Simplicity is important because you don’t want customers to stare long at it to understand it. The logos that are puzzle-like will get lesser attention. Customer today has very short span. Your logo should be simple enough to see and be understood in a fraction of a second.
When you design a logo, you don’t use it only on the web. If the logo needs to be printed on paper or plastic, the cost of every color will count. That means that even though ‘rainbow’ color logos are good to see but they are expensive to produce on physical format.
