in Social Media

Are you looking an explosive growth to your business? If Yes! then the good news is that your road map to that growth is simple! It is called as Social Media.

Steps to help your business on social media

So what is Social Media:

  • Face book holds 800+ million accounts.
  • Twitter just crossed 200 million users,
  • Linked In has 47 million users.

They are a few examples which are growing rapidly. Aren’t these figures overwhelming?

Social Media is great because it does not cost any money. You can become a celebrity or promote your company without spending large money on it.

How do you start?

Learning about social media is like learning about horse riding. It might put you off initially but once you get it, it will be very beneficial.

Here I have outlined ten easy steps to take your business to next level using Social Media representation.

#1: Outline Your Goals

The success formula starts by identifying your target and then creating an effective execution plan. Here are a few of the question you need to ask about your business.

  • What do you wish to accomplish?
  • Are you looking for just visitors?
  • What is your sales and marketing strategy?
  • Do you wish to promote your product or be just social?
  • Others…

Takeaway: What is your Goal?

#2: Develop Consistency

Your social Media business presence is beyond just setting up your profile. You need to

  • Build your marketing and sales strategy around your goals
  • Stick with your execution plan for example doing daily posts and commenting.

Takeaway: What is your strategy?

#3: Be engaging

Engaging the community is not one-way traffic. Your articles and replies to discussion should have an element of uniqueness and engagement.

  • Engage your visitors/followers in a conversation.
  • Always listen with an open mind

Takeaway: Can you Engage?

#4 : Find Your Niche

The term niche is probably the most popular topic online. How do you develop fresh content in your niche?  Unique content may be derived from your creativity and intuitiveness. It should be fun, informative and useful to your customers/followers.

Takeaway: What’s your Niche?

#5: Create Visuals

At social media, one of the key aspect is putting something visual. People love to watch a video for example. Embed your post with pictures, videos, product demos etc.

Takeaway: Have you thought about creating visuals ?

#6: Help others

If you are an expert in your field, help others in need.  You could for example share problem solving tips or information about products. This will set you up as an expert.

Takeaway: Do you help others?

#7: Choose your target media

Do not create your business profile at every social site but only at those which are connected to your niche. Talking about your business all over the place is not a good strategy.

Takeaway: What is your target media?

#8: Forecast your communication

How do you communicate effectively ? Develop an effective communication plan before opening a discussion. Your comments on the blogs and forums will tell your audience a lot about you.

Also , try to understand views of your customers in advance. It will help building trust with them.

Takeaway: Can you forecast your business communications?

#9: Be Transparent

Though your primary goals may be about your company and its products, sometimes it nice to share something about yourself for example about your recent vacation pictures.

Let people know about your motivation for your life and business.

Takeaway: Are you Transparent?

#10 : Indulge in creative promotions

Everyone likes coupons and discounts, and sale events. Offer an attractive promotional programs and use your creativity. If your business is about selling coffee beans, you may offer free creamer and coffee mugs with customer’s family photo.

Be creative.

Takeaway: Do you employ creativity @ work?

Integrating social media into your business strategies is a new great way to attract customers. Building trust with them using social media will help to grow your business much faster than anything else.

Great post and great tips. I love the way you present information. It make content easier to understand and reading more enjoyably.

When it comes to social media, I believe one need to be personal. One needs to stray away from anything about business at least at outset. You’ve given the example of sharing personal photos about vacation and holidays. That’s a great tip. People will get to know the real you. People don’t trust websites, they trust human beings. If they know you, they’ll trust you.

Thanks for the great tips!
